مشتاق احمد یوسفی کے دو پشتون کرداروں پر ایک مطالعہ
Abstract
Charactersketch, Satire and Comedy are different genres and styles of literature, but a
genius can easily merge two or more genres, without breaking rules, to create unique
masterpieces. In this connection Mushtaq Ahmad Yousafi gave remarkable masterpieces to
literature. In his book “Zarguzashth” he has portrayed a character by the name of “Khan
Saif-ul-Malook Khan” and in another book “Aab-e-Gumm” he presented a character called
“Haji Aurangzeb Khan” through this he has contributed in the array of charactersketch in
world literature in general while in Urdu literature in particular. These two are not just
characters but living, pulsating and sensitive human beings. Hence they become the living
examples of Yousafi’s art and craft. This article is based on the comparative study and
analysis of these two characters (Khaakey).
