Abstract
Manifestation (TAJALLI¯) is one the basic technical sufi terminologies. It
means the gift of Allah to advanced mystic in which the seeker finds an
inkling of the divine majesty and grandeur by way of an illumination. It is
referred to the Arabic word Ta-Jalli¯. It talks about the aspect of divine
disclosure and it emphasizes Allah’s majesty and transformation wrought in
the seeker in its wake. This term is co-related with the sighting of Lord’s light
(Ro’yat-i-Bari Ta’ala) and contemplation (MUSHA¯HADA). The
discussion has been premeditated to explore the view of Ibn-e-Arabi about
manifestation as it is the basic pillar of his concept about Ontological Oneness
of all the things. This article also explains Ibn al-Arabi’s concept about
sighting of Lord’s light in this world and afterlife.
