تھل میں شادی کی رسومات اورعصری رجحانات:شریعت اسلامیہ کی روشنی میں تجزیہ

Abstract
Despite the fact that ever increasing dearness is the order of the day, extensive prodigality and extravagance is observed on the occasion of marriage in particular and on other ceremonies in general. As a consequence of this reckless approach, many peoplein the society have to encounter various problems. These seemingly important and in reality absurd rituals and customs are a great panic for the poor and so-called average class of the society. It is our social and moral responsibility to try to eradicatesuch obnoxious customs because those who follow and advocate such stupid practices have to be answerable for the misery of the affected population by those non-Islamic and unreasonable practices. The marriage rituals in the desert areas of the Thal include “KharaGana”, “breaking the lid of the earthen pitcher”, “Sehra-Bandi (Garlanding)”,“knife to be kept in hand by the groom” and “sprinkling of grains of barley, bills of currency and pieces of sweet-meat upon the couple especially the groom”. The currentstudy highlights the Islamic status of these rituals and also throws light upon them in the social and economic perspective.
