Abstract
The mid period of the 19th century is of paramount importance i.e. literary, social. economic, political and in all other aspects in Iran and India. The end of the Muslim regime, the British rule and due to the unwise policies of the Qajari family in Iran, their being trapped in the political trap of the British and the Russian rulers had made the lives of both the states very miserable. To some extent the nations were becoming the cause of trials and tribulations. In these circumstances some literary personas also became a voice of the masses along with the social and political leadership and helped them in their on march towards consciousness and liberty. Among these literary figures two most vibrant were the contemporary figures, one Adib ul mamalik in Iran and the other was Altaf Hussain Hall in Hindustan seem to be the thriving in the literary fields in their respective societies. In this article, the literary master of the two countries, Adib ul mamalik’s Musamat and Hali’s Musasdas in the perspective of comparative study is particularly presented.
