Humer of Shafiqurrehman
Abstract
This research was meant to find out the salient characteristics of
the short story "Dajla" by Shafiqur Rehman. This piece of
literature is a trend-setter one. He has reflected the beauty of
style and skill of his expression. The story contains humour,
satire, romance and magical appeal. The writer has portrayed
young characters and their natural incilnation towards romance.
Moreover, he has shown his potential to peep into light of hope in
utter darkness. There is moaning and groaning under the cover
of laughters in the short story. However, this pain and the impact
of pain is not long-lasting but transitory.
