بررسی موسیقی بیرونی در شعر عرفی شیرازی
Abstract
"Jamal ud Din Mohammad Urfi Shirazi, one of the tenth century first class poets is famous in Iran India and Rome. He is one of the most eloquent poets in his period leaving behind beautiful lasting works in spite of his youth and early death .
His collection contains: qasidas (odes), ghazals (sonnets), quatrains, saqi nameh, targiband, tarkibband, mathnavis Majma ul Abkaar and Farhad-o-Shirin and Resala-e-Nafisia in prose. However, Urfi calls himself a ghazal poet and his ghazals (sonnets) are rich in mystic and liberal thought, his fame is mostly due to his qasidas (odes).
In addition to his fluency and use of simple language, his command of the musical aspect in poetry is the secret of his success. Accuracy of niceties in his poems and the appropriate use of meter and rhyme have bestowed special pulchritude upon his poetry. His rhythmic poetry is to a large extent a result of the appropriate use of these poetic elements.
This research relates to the superficial music its effects and place in Urfi’s poetry. It analyses its method and content after giving and introduction about the poet, the music in his sonnets and qasidas. Prosodic meters and the collected results are described in tables and charts. Finally, it has been found that Urfi’s meter poetry in sonnets and odes was mostly rhyme meter.
