Prefaces Writing In Urdu: Some Aspects of Seek Attention

The World“Muqadema”in Urdu means the preface or
introduction of the book or its auther that is commonly written
to understand the content and familiarity of the book. It is
narrated by auther as well as any other critic of researchers or
well known person in literature. The tradition of the preface in
Urdu highlights that a very few preface have been written
impartially. In the East, it is considered that the merits and
demerits of the book analyzed by the prefacer depend upon
the relationship between auther and prefacer. This trend has
been changed with the passage of time. Some important and
well known prefaces in Urdu literature are the preface of
“Dewanzada”written by Zahoor udeen Hatum, the preface of
Dastan “Bagho.Bahar” written by Mir Hassan, the preface of
Moulana Hali“Muqadema Shier o shairy” and the preface of
Nuskha e Hamidia (Ghalib) written by Doctor Abdur
Rehaman Bajnory. The Tradition of comprehensive prefaces
in Urdu has been replaced by the brief introduction of book
and author now.a.days.An other trend of compiling the old
literary prototype and to write the comprehensive preface on it
is improgress these days.This is a very careful and sensitive
task. The compiler must be competent enough to judge the
literary trend of the concern period and its language. The
present article presents a comprehensive analysis on the issues
relevant to the prefaces of the books in Urdu literature.
