This article encompasses the stylistic and intellectual dimensions of a significant contemporary short story writer, Ikram Ullah.He hails from the breed of fiction writers whose journey took off at the crossroads of Realism and Symbolism. In this article the impact of the significant literary trends prevalent among his predecessors has been traced in Ikram Ullah's work. Besides, the new technique and prose style he has been commented upon in the light of the literary contributions of Ikram Ullah.
