A longitudinal study was carried out to investigate the contribution of clinical factors in influencing satisfaction with Quality of Life (QoL) after renal transplantation. Renal transplant recipients (RTRs) were assessed at three times over a period of 15 months in Lahore (Pakistan). The study analyzed the contribution of clinical factors in influencing QoL to identify individual differences in satisfaction with QoL despite similar health status. Our findings revealed that most recipients reported satisfaction after their transplant consistently over a period of 15 months. However, QoL satisfaction was neither associated with nor influenced by clinical factors and general health indicators, suggesting that QoL satisfaction appears to be a subjective construct that is not predicted by physical health status.
