Present research investigated the relationship between parental acceptance-rejection and social adjustment in congenitally amputee children. Equal number of boys and girls (N=40, ages 9-13 years) were taken from various institutes for physically handicapped children, Islamabad, Pakistan. Urdu version of the short form of Parental Acceptance-Rejection Questionnaire (Child PARQ; Mother and Father; Rohner, 2004) and Social Adjustment Questionnaire (SAQ; Najam & Ejaz, 2007) were administered to participants. Results show a significant positive correlation between warmth and social adjustment and a significant negative correlation among aggression, neglect and parental undifferentiated rejection and social adjustment of amputee children. There was significant difference in the mean scores of SAQ between children reporting acceptance and rejection from mother and father indicating greater social adjustment in accepted children.
