RELIGIOUS SCHOLAR, INTERPRETER OF QURAN
AND POET OF SINDH– A RESEARCH ARTICLE
Abstract
Sindh has been remaining the centre of Saints and Scholars for
centuries. The saints spread the Islam by the way of “Tasawaf”, while the
scholars attracted the people to the Islam by serving in the field of knowledge
and literature. Thus they served the Islam to bring the human being into the
peaceful circle of it.
This article presents a brief introduction of a famous scholar of
Sindh who had not only served in the field of religious affairs, but was a
prominent name of Sindhi Literature. He was Molana Abdullah Chandio ,
who was not only a scholar, but was also a versatile poet of Sindhi,
Arabic and Persian languages, simultaneously. He also served in
Explanation of Holy Quran. His poetry is very effective combination of
words and meaning. There is a great need that the literary work done by
Molana Abdullah Chandio may be bring to the knowledge seekers;
surely his work will benefit the humanity very well.
