The current study is an analysis of Pak-Afghan relations in the postKarzai era. Pakistan and Afghanistan are two neighbours, having 2430 km long border and bonded in the same history and religion but have always been found to malign each other’s interests. Both have reservations against each other. Afghanistan considers Durand Line to be an imaginary line. Pakistan considers it a capricious idea having no footing. Pakistan’s policy of strategic depth to safeguard her stakes in Afghanistan infuriates the latter who condemn this notion altogether and instead, allies herself with India. India invests heavily in Afghanistan and her image in the people of Afghanistan is highly appreciated. The intimacy of the two nations has implications for Pakistan which are explained in the last part of this paper.
