This research article is regarding an important issue of zakat of women’s gold and silver’s jewelry for their daily use and self-decoration, whether will be considered as s subject of zakat or not? This is an important issue of Islamic jurisprudence, and scholars are differed from the very beginning in this regard, due to interpretation of legal texts and different narrated prophetic traditions and opinions of the companions of Prophet (peace be upon him). As far as concerned to the topic, legal ruling of the companions is different from each other in this regard. In this study, opinions of companions of Prophet (peace be upon him), later Muslim scholars and Jurists have been explained along with their legal basis and texts of the Holy Quran and Sunnah. Furthermore, the case of jewelry for the purpose of trade or which exceed from the necessity has been discussed in detail.
The method of study adopted in the research work is analytical while explaining and narrating the opinions and rules of Muslim jurists concerned to the issue.
