“Radio Tchran is a public broadcasting authority of Islamic Republic of
Iran. Radio Tehran Urdu service was initiated in 1979.This radio channel broadcast
daily 3 transmissions in Urdu language. A number of religious, current affair,
informative and literary programmes has been broadcasted by this radio service in
Urdu language. A quartely Urdu magazine”Jarn-e-Jam” is also published by its
Urdu department. Its Urdu broadcaster’s accent and pronunciation arc also of a very
high standard. Its Urdu programs. website and Urdu magazine not only strengthen
Pak Iran relations but also spread urdu language and literature all over the world.”
