The works of usul al-fiqh (principles of Islamic Jurisprudence)
describe how the sources of ethical and legal knowledge are
evaluated and interpreted, and how new laws might be derived
when the sources seem to provide no answer. Muslim jurists
have been composing usul works for over a millennium, and the
science of usul has developed a detailed and sophisticated
system of ethical and legal justification and derivation. This paper
explores how the complexity of Islamic legal heritage made
accessible to a wider range of people by Religious Scholars of
Sub-continent. Despite the fact that most of the work was
related to Shuruh (Commentaries) Hawashi (foot-notes) and
Taliqat etc. on many previous textbooks of usul, The induction of
Kalaam and Balagha in the Genre of Usul al-fiqh with classical
discourse was also obvious in their works of usul.Juristic diversity
was appreciated by people of Sub-Continent but Hanafi scholars
contribution in usul was dominated for many reason. This paper
is based on qualitative, historical, archival and descriptive
research, discusses production of great works in Usul al-fiqh
(principles of Islamic Jurisprudence) by Muslim scholars of
Sub-Continent, and covers the period from 1882 A.D-1979 A.D,
contains the authors brief treaties in chronological order
