تلخیص
Textual criticism is the branch of research that demands a lot of skill
and mental strength from researcher especially in the case of Urdu
literature. Unfortunately we have observed in the past that except for a few
researchers, the majority of the people have failed to come up to the task of
textual criticism. This article suggests which characteristics a textual critic
should possess in order to be able to edit and compile reliable text for
further analysis.
