"Faiz Ahmad Faiz has written only one elege on the subject of
the battle of Karbala but there are three personal elegies in his
poetry one on the death of his elder brother and others on the
death of his friend and a soldier which depict the feeling of deep
and grief. These personal elegies be side narrating the intensity
of personal agony also are the beautiful amalgamation of thought
and art."
