تلخیص
First step for the editing of classic dramas in Pakistan was taken by Imtyaz
Ali Taj. and Majlis-e-Traqi-e-Adab published this work. Imtyaz Ali Taj prepared a
sketch of editing one hudred dramas, fifty of these were edited by Imtyaz Ali Taj,
Waqar Azeem and Ishrat Rehmani respectively, whereas Mirza Adeeb edited eight
dramas of Rafi Peer(which are not incleuded in Imtyaz Ali Taj's sketch). Editing of
dramas written after the partition (In Pakistan) is inevitable alongwith the editing of
remaining dramas included in Imtyaz Ali Taj's sketch. Fortunately,dramas of few
renowned drama writers are safe with Alhamra Arts Council, whereas manuscripts
have been wasted due to the criminal negligence of Punjab Arts Counsil. It is need of
the hour that people having relevance to this art should pay attention of drama editing.
