In this articles three tales Toota Kahani, Aarish-e-Mahal and Gulzar-e-Danish by Haider Bukhsh Haideri, has been critically analyzed. In the beginning of 19th century, the establishment of Fort William College has a significant role in the history of Urdu prose. This college not only played a vital role in the progress of Urdu prose but also established a direction for the future, due to which Urdu prose has become able to stand with the progressed language. Haider Bakhsh Haideri was a part of Fort William College. His name is considered as a great writer in Urdu literature. In Fictional literature, he got fame as a translator and compiler of Toota Kahani, Gulzar-e-Danish and Aarish Mahal. His tales are still having an importance with reference to story characterization, narration and especially context.
