The Holy Quran is the last revealed book. The main topic of the Holy Quran is human beings. It provides eternal guidance to the whole of mankind. Therefore, Islamic scholars have been working to communicate the teachings of the Holy Quran to the people in every era. Shah Waliullah is the first scholar of the sub-continent Indo-Pak, who translated the Holy Quran in Persian language. Shah Waliullah had to face severe opposition in this regard. But the coming time testified his great step in this regard. Shah Waliullah and his family had valuable services for Islam and the Holy Quran. Shah Waliullah has also described the basic principles of translating the Holy Quran into other languages. These principles have been discussed in this article.
