ANALYTICAL STUDY OF THE EDUCATION AND SOCIAL ROLE OF WOMEN IN CONTEMPORARY TURKISH RELIGIOUS CENTERS
Abstract
Turkey is among one of the lucky countries where women as well as men have equal rights to pursue Islamic Studies. The pursuit of religious education for women in Turkey is possible in two conditions.One is the official and informal organizations, as well as mixed and non-mixed Imam Al Khatib Schools and Colleges (where along with contemporary curriculum, recitation, Tajweed, Tafsir, Hadith, Sira, Islam, etc. are also found in abundance), and after that universities where PhD can be pursued in different religious studies.Along with that, Quranic educational centers have been established for women by government, where Nazira Quran, memorization of the Quran and fundamental theological teachings are given to students. In this study, we will collect statistics such as Turkey’s government institutions for girl’s education, the last few years of comparative figures, female teacher’s statistics, their teaching and authorized services and women's M.Phil and PhD levels thesis statistics from authentic sources. Prospects for the religious institute of the graduate of educational institution and publicly broadcast religion foundation will be brought to debate..
