Abstract
Tolerance, peace and social cohesion are the key predictors for any sustainable society. The present study explored the factors affecting lack of tolerance, peace and social adjustment among university students. A qualitative study investigated various dimensions of above mentioned variables of interest. The Participants of study were students and chairpersons of Government College University Faisalabad. The Focused group discussion and Semi structured interviews were conducted to assess the insights and wisdom of participants. The findings of the study denoted the low level of tolerance regarding its sub factors; gender, caste, rival ship and social status. The study also revealed less extent of peace relevant to sub factors; religion, religious sects, discrimination and ethnic hatred. Moreover results revealed less degree of social cohesion in university students. It is strongly recommended to establish training programs to develop tolerance, peace and social cohesion through education.
