Abstract
Islamic Republic of Pakistan is constitutionally a federation and this treatise through the Eighteenth Constitutional Amendment is an attempt to examine the relationship between federating units interse. The study has highlighted some grey areas and overlapping articles with recommendations to the stakeholders to resolve those obscurities towards its purposeful execution and smooth running of the state business. With the help of primary and secondary sources, qualitative and deductive research methodology has been applied. The research recommends that Federal institutions shall be further strengthened to balance the legislative/ administrative relationship between provincial legislatures and the Parliament. Moreover, financial resources to discharge responsibilities in respect of national security shall also be shared by all stakeholders equitably
