TRENDS & INFLUENCES OF THE WESTERN CULTURE
Abstract
Western civilization is a term which refers to those specific social norms, ethical values, customs and traditions, ideological and political systems, and technology that have a special bond with Europe. Modern European civilization contends that mankind is only a material reality, nothing more. This trend has left serious effects on Islamic societies. This article provides an assessment of the ideological, religious, and political impacts of western civilization on Islamic societies.
