Elements of humor and satire in Muhammad Tufail’s Sketch Writing
Abstract
Muhammad Tufail is considered to be one of the most prominent
sketch writers of Urdu literature.His sketches portrait human respects,
humanity, touching sense, sympathy, sincerity, charging and fitness.
It also reflects high quality literary tastes. It is believed that
Muhammad Tufail's sketches just a serious statement, but in reality in
Muhammad Tufail's sketches, elements of humor are also found
which make his writings more comprehensive, meaningful and makes
it easier for expressing thoughts. As Muhammad Tufail sketchs
satisfy the literary tastes, meanwhile it showsa clear importance of
the specific genre of writing satire and humor. This article reviews
the elements of satire and humor in his character sketches
