Abstract
The depiction of Nature in Urdu literary writings has a deep-rooted tradition. It has gone through a process of transformation with the changing times and conditions of society. The relationship between Nature and man in early Urdu writings was different from that which evolved in the twentieth century. Urdu poets and writers have, in the last sixty years questioned man’s destructive attitude towards Nature and its consequences. This article is a study of these changing perceptions.
