Historicism and New Historicism in Urdu Novel
Abstract
Historicism as a literary theory Considers history a background of literature, whereas New Historicism envisages and practices a mode of Study where the literary text and Non_ literary Context are given equal weightage. This Article presents a critical overview of Selected Urdu novels in the context of these two theories.
