ROLE OF ALI HUJVERI IN SHAPING ISLAMIC CULTURE IN SUBCONTINENT
Abstract
Before the advent of Islam into the Subcontinent, the local
culture and civilization was chiefly marred with the evils
and illnesses detrimental to prosperity of all members of
the society. With the introduction to new light of Islam, the
populace shunned the vices and adopted good morals. But
it were the Sufis especially Hazrat Ali Hujveri who
brought revolution in the mannerism of the locals and
helped shaping an Islamic culture in the Subcontinent. The
article sheds light on the role of Hazrat Ali Hujveri in
shaping the Islamic culture in the Subcontinent.
