Abstract
After the emergence of Islam, the relations between the two Indo-Iranian (Aryan) nations became more and more stronger as compared to ancient times. The development of these strong bounds started from the Ghaznavi period when Mahmood conquered India and a large number of Irani scholars, authors and poets shifted to the Sub-continent. After Ghaznavis, Ghauris also took keen interest in the promotion of Persian language and literature in the Sub-continent. These good relations continued during the reigns of Khiljis, Tughlaqs, Lodhis and Behmanis. Regarding relations between Iran and the Sub-continent, the Mughal period is known as the golden period. After the partition of Hindustan, the relations of Iran with India, Pakistan and Bangladesh are very fine and are based on mutual peaceful co-existence and brotherhood.
