Abstract
There have been many great and incomparable personalities in Islamic history. Imam Abul-Laith Samarqandi (died in 373 Hijra) is one of those eminent scholars. He wrote many books on Islamic sciences and skills. Every book is remarkable. He was famous for his depth and skill in the field of Islamic Jurisprudence. His book “Muqaddimat-al-Salah (preface to Salah) is a valuable work, which deals with the problems and legal commands of Salah. The given article deals with Imam Abul Laith Samarqandi-his life history, education, teachers, students, his journeys for seeking knowledge and his books. This will help the readers to know about him in detail.
