Abstract
The word “heir” has different forms explained in the Quran but with the same meaning Al-Waris (the inheritor) is Quranic word for Allah. MEERAAS explains the inheritance of wealth and property. The word وھات مافرث (you are made to inherit) refers to the “heirs of heaven” The word اتراث (Heritage) refers to the property and wealth of the deceased person. (The knowledge and wisdom of prophets are also inherited by their offspring and believers are also preferred on non-believers as inheritors of the world.) Quran explains the inheritance in this life and life hereafter, "And believers are made the inheritors of Heaven as a reward for their good deeds" Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) referred the knowledge of inheritance as “half of all the knowledge and emphasized on learning the science of inheritance along with that those who stop the inherited property from their rightful heirs are threatened with punishment in life hereafter.
