Abstract
Shinto or Shintoism is an ancient, traditional, national and indigenous or native Japanese religion. This pre-historic religious tradition also remained as Official or State religion of Japan for a period of time. Though Japan is a secular state right now, however, Shinto and Buddhism are still its major religions. Islam is a divine-based dominant world religion revealed to Prophet Muhammad (May peace and mercy be upon him). The article in hand presents a brief comparative analysis of Shinto and Islam in various aspects.
