Abstract
Akbar Hameedi was imminent Urdu writer of his time. His prose and poetic writings were influencialand impressive. He had actively participated in National integrity, soliderity movements in Urdu literature. All forms of Prose like Afsana, Inshaiya, Symbolism and Travelog were appreciated by Urdu readers. In poetry, Ghazal, Nazm, Blank Verse, Haiku etc. weretechnically treated by Akbar Hameedi. His criticism is also impartial and based on realism, facts and proper intellect. His letter to Editor "Auraq" enlightened Urdu fiction and poetry.
