Abstract
National song is a literary genre of Urdu literature which has diversification of subjects. It is considered the representative of Pakistan, as well as the whole Islamic world. National songs have significant role in the character building of children which covers many issues and aspects of Pakistani children. It contained many aspects of character building including educational, moral, religious, personality grooming and a passion for nationalism and soldiers like bravery. The melody and the rhythm in the national song attract the children spontaneously which not only provide character building but also develop the aesthetic sense in the future generation.
