Abstract
This study aims to examine the effects of job characteristics on Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB) and to elucidate job satisfaction as an outcome. A total of 55 employees fram the largest telecommunication company of Pakistan participated in this study. The results show that greater the jab variety and job significance, there are preater chances of employees to exhibit OCB. Although OC8 does nat show any significant relationship with job identity and joh autonomy, but it is positively related with jab satisfaction. These findings suggest that in the corporate environment, higher management must keep this aspect in practice that to motivate employees to show OCB, job descriptions need to be highly enriched so that the employee got a chance of career development.
