Abstract
Natural resources, infrastructure and human resources play an important role
in the development of a country. It is a worldwide proven fact that the
development of a nation depends on availability of natural resources (24%),
infrastructure (16%) and human resources that add 60%. In the present sociopolitical and economic scenario of the world, the block of Muslim countries is
recognized as developing or under developed despite being rich in the natural
resources on the Earth as well as being blessed with abundant human
resources. This paper gives a full reflection of natural resources, infrastructure
and human resources of the Muslim world as compared to the rest of the
world. It highlights the root causes for the prevalent miserable state of the
Muslim Ummah. It also presents a model for the training, retraining and
development of human resources of the Muslim world as a remedial measure
to stand as part of the developed world.
