Abstract
Abdul Ghaffar Tabasum is a well known Sindhi poet. Normally, he is famous for his romantic poetry. As being full of rythemetic qualities, his poetry has been sung by many famous singers. Despite of various qualities of natural poetry, aesthetics, love and other many colours of romantic version he has hoisted his pen like flag against injustice, violence, extremism, anarchy on earth, underestimation of nation and vernacular language, and all other aspects on which a progressive mind can resist. Hence, we can see many revolutionary colours of progressive thoughts in his poetry. Famous Sindhi poet Ustad Bukhari called Abdul Ghaffar Tabasum as half romantic half aggressive poet and it is in fact true. Such dexterity of his art is yet hidden by the public. The poets of his era believe in progressivism, hence, he is of the same thoughts as well. We analyze here progressive thoughts in the poetry of Abdul Ghaffar Tabsum.
