FAREED: AN ANALYTICAL ANALYSIS
Abstract
The ideal maxim of the "world" being a global village is faced
with the grim threat of flying to bits due to the excessively materialistic
approach of the modern man. Since man has fallen a prey to the menace
of the loaves and fishes, one hardly comes across a precedence of
humanity, integrity, morality and solidarity among the petty pursuits
taken up by the modern man. This decline has led us to the dread of the
clash of civilizations. In the wake of the given dismal situation, the only
possible remedy to cure the diseased civilization is to resort to
'mysticism'. The only way to avert the impending threat of the clash of
civilizations is to incorporate the teaching and the beliefs of the
mysticism among the masses in the literal sense of the word. Though,
every single mystic preaches love and harmony, yet Khawja Ghulam
Fareed stands head and shoulders above the rest owing to his rich
intellect and poetic grandeur. Thus the intellect of Fareed has the
potential to serve as an antidote against the malady of the clash of
civilizations. The present study explores the instances of solidarity in the
intellect of Fareed to serve as a solution to the grave problem of the clash
of civilizations.
