Abstract
Parasitic diseases are responsible for heavy economic losses to livestock industry particularly due to lowered productivity of the affected animals. Many workers across the country have identified and reported high prevalence of a wide variety of parasitic disease affecting different species of animals. This paper presents an overview of the occurrence of various types of parasites in cattle, buffaloes, sheep, goats, and poultry in Pakistan. Moreover, weak areas in the research on parasitic disease have been identified and recommendations for future research have been given.
