Abstract
Attock District is one of the most prominent districts of Pakistan in the northern
area of the province of Punjab, situated at the very tip of the G.T. Road and enjoys itself with
a particular importance with regard to its religious and Islamic background. The scholarly
and artistic tradition here is very ancient and powerfully eloquent. It has a proud contribution
to the Islamic word. There is no area of theology that denies the worth of writings of
indigenous scholars. Scholars’ concepts here regarding religious and Islamic services are
their own and stand as testament. The fact remains that District Attock remained the center of
Islamic education wherein almost every school of thought exists. The scholars here have a
prominent place in the history of subcontinent as well. They have also accomplished great
jobs in the fields of teaching, writing and compilation. Some of the most qualified of these
elite scholars have served the last book of Allah Almighty in various styles. There has been no
permanent work on the moods and events of these Quranic personalities. Therefore, under
this article, the introduction of these great personalities and their Quranic and Interpretive
services has been highlighted and reviewed comprehensively. This article gives a brief
introduction to the services of the scholars of District Attock in the field of Quran & its
Interpretation.
