Abstract
Allah almighty has made Islam a complete code of life. He sent His last
message in the form of Islam and declared it a reward to human beings. The rulings of Islam
are in accordance with the natural phenomenon and mental and physical level of human
creatures. In time of urgent situations and indispensable circumstances specific relaxation in
rulings is granted to the followers, which is called Rukhsa in Islamic Law. The rulings under
this relaxation have an expansive perspective. In this article, the underlying causes of
relaxation in sharia provisions have been elaborated. The basis of each cause of relaxation
from Quran and Sunnah has been described. The Conditions, limits and restrictions,
considered any cause to be a cause of relaxation, have been elucidated in rather detail.
