The Department of Education and the Technical Training Board of the Provincial Government has not yet played any significant role in improving the situation. The Jail Authorities pointed out that obstacles in improving the condition were beyond their control. They were mainly financial, lack of proper space, lack of teaching staff and teaching facility and the callous behaviour of the higher authorities responsible for maintaining human conditions in the jail. The women prisoners are looking forward to the return of Elizabeth Fryto come over and improve their conditions in Jails.
