Abstract
The Holy Qur’ān is the origin and source of the true religion that is Islām, from which emerged the laws, believes, worship, ethics, virtues, and from which emerged whole the Islamic life. Al-Sheikh Ghulām Rasōl Al-Saeedī (1937-2016) is one of the prominent scholars in the sub-continent whom Allah had fully blessed with all the knowledge and expertise in religion and ahead for which he had been praised by the contemporary Muslim scholars. Two of the work that has become his recognition among the Muslims generally and religious scholars particularly are “Tafsīr Tibyān-ul-Qur’ān” and later ‘’Tafsīr Tibyān ul Furqān’’. Al-Sheikh Saeedī is considered a pride among the interpreters of the sub-continent in the field of Qur’ānic sciences. He authored a large number of books, which are comprehensive and far-famed. Exegesis of Ṣaḥiḥ Muslim, Tafsīr Tibyān ul Qur’ān, Ni’mat ul Bārī and Tafsīr Tibyān ul Furqān are the manifest evidence of his encyclopedic knowledge. The current paper discusses life and characters of Al-Sheikh Saeedī and also focusses on the methodology and approaches he used in interpreting his both Tafāsīr of the Holy Qur’ān.
