This article is an analytical study of metrical structure and
rhymes of Fazl ul Haq al-Khair Abadi’s Arabic poetry. His dewan
consists of 3370 verses. In fact this article deals with introduction
of Arabic Poetry of Subcontinent.
Arabic poetry was revived in 19th century after its decline to
low levels of weak and pseudo-classical verse. The revival of
classical poetry was in its form, diction, metaphors and themes.
This revival of classical poetry by neo-classical poets began in the
Arab world with Mahmud Sami al-Barudi (1836-1904) of Egypt
and Nasif l-Yaziji (1800-1871) of Lebanon, when the revival of the
Arab-Islamic heritage was considered the best response to the
European cultu
