Abstract
The essential oil of Dracocephalum moldavica L. (Labiatae) collected from the suburb of Sari, North of Iran, was isolated by
hydrodistillation and analyzed by means of GC and GC/MS. Ninety components were identified in the this oil. The major constituents
of the essential oil were limonene (19.8%), -pinene (14.4%), methyl geranate (8.5%), geranyl acetate (7.9%), carvacrol (7.8%) and
geranial (5.4%). The essential oil of D. moldavica is rich in monoterpenoids.
