Abstract
A total of 47 species belonging to 14 genera of Chlorophyceae, Cyanophyceae, Bacillaerophyceae and Xanthophyceae viz, Spirogyra,
Mougeotia, Stigeoclonium, Rhizoclonium, Ulothrix, Cladophora, Vaucheria, Microspora, Pithophora, Achanthes, Closterium,
Oscillatoria and Phormidium were recorded from various localities of Peshawar valley.
