Abstract
Origin of Urdu Language has been a bone of contention since long among Urdu linguistic circles. The debates may be divided in two main categories, the linguists and armature scholars. This article explores the works of Dr. Mohayyuddeen Qadri Zor, who belongs to the former category. He is the foremost scholar who laid the foundation of Historical and Applied Linguistics in Urdu.
