Abstract
Abstract We read with interest the original article by Odeh et al on inguinal herniorrhaphy under local anesthesia.1 The authors stated that this article was based on 72 patients and three of them had bilateral hernia. Mean doses of lidocaine and bupivacaine were 250mg and 125mg in conversion. Local anesthesia has some advantages in aspect of cost and hospital stay over general anesthesia.
