Abstract
Influence of four nitrogen levels (0, 60, 90 and 120 kg N ha') and three irrigation regimes (2,3 and 4) on the seed yield and oil quality of hybrid canola (cv. Hyola 401) was evaluated in a field trial at University of Agriculture, Faisalabad during 1999-2000. Seed oil content were decreased but protein content were increased with the increase of irrigation frequencies and nitrogen rates. Canola gave higher seed (47.78 q ha'1) and oil (21.31 q ha') yield and resulted in highest net return of Rs. 47383.08 ha" (Rs. 278.72 net income per day) with benefit-cost ratio (BCR) of 4.84 when 90 kg N ha' with 3 irrigations were applied.
