Abstract
Studies on the varietal resistance of wheat against wheat aphid were conducted during 1998-99. The experimental material consisted of 20 cultivars/genotypes of wheat including a susceptible check line. Mean population density per tiller of the wheat aphid was 1.87, 3.68, 4.01, 4.88, 4.94, 5.14, 6.40, 6.41, 6.58. 6.81, 7.27, 7.32. 7.5lJ. 8.19. 8.30. 8.36. 8.41, 10.19, 11.22 and 16.17 on wheat cultivars CHILIEUC, BAUIPRL/VEE#5, PAT lO/ALO.
